Overview

Desperate to earn money for a life-saving operation for his daughter, ex-Thai Special Forces Sgt. Prompit (Lee) leads a patrol into Vietnam, several years after the end of the war there. Reaching their destination after several ambushes, they learn that their mission is to hunt down and destroy a group of cannibals led by renegade Thai colonel Pronclair. Formerly a ranger chief, he has turned to drug smuggling at the head of an aboriginal tribe known as the "Draculas." Prompit looses all his men, but succeeds in killing Pronclair. Rescued by the Thai Army, Prompit must be hospitalized for bouts of insanity as he relives his experiences among the cannibals. A visit by his daughter to award him a medal restores his sanity. Borrow's heavily from Apocalypse now and George Romero's Dawn of the dead
